Christmas 2010

What an amazing year! Being able to celebrate the birth of our Saviour with my two beautiful boys brings such joy to my heart! We had an early Christmas with my side of the family! I didn't get many pictures on my camera! I will have to borrow someone's to get the rest of them!!

We got to spend actual Christmas in East Tx. with Josh's family! That's a loooong car trip for a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old! They did awesome on the trip down! Two 45 minute stops and that was it! All Coop could talk about on the way down there was "Gabby and Grumps house"! He was not happy with how long the trip took, but he was able to hang in there! Whitt was great! He slept the whole way except for our 2 stops!! The trip back was another story! Well, actually they did really well..we just had a few "entertaining" things happen! We had to stop 4 times. Two times Whitt decided he was hungry right now and we had to pull off on a service road to feed him. Another time, Coop decided that he needed to go "potty" right now and we had to pull off on the side of the road....and he was actually able to go!!! That's crazy to me!!! I guess when you gotta go...you gotta go!!! The very next exit was a rest stop! Go figure!!
As always, Cooper had an absolute blast! It was really chilly there, so we didn't get to go outside much! He mostly followed Gabby around like a puppy dog and wanted to be with her every second of the day! They snuggled for nap time and bedtime, drank coffee (she puts a little vanilla coffee mate in his milk and he thinks he's so big), and just got lots and lots and lots of lovin'!! Santa brought him some really fun toys! His two big presents were his very first bike and a Gator (Coop calls it a digger). He's not very coordinated with either one of them yet, but he'll get there!!
And, I must not forget the trauma! The first whole day we were there, Gabby had to go into work for a little while! I wanted to go to a local furniture shop, so Josh drove me into town and took Coop to McDonald's to play while I shopped. It didn't take me long, and I went right over to McD's to nurse Whitt! While I was outside in the car feeding W, Josh called and said Cooper needed staples! WHAT?!?!? Oh my! So, I ran in the McD's with Whitt! By the time I got in there, Josh had all of the blood cleaned up and Coop was in his arms crying! I gathered up all of our junk we had scattered everywhere, got directions to a local ER and took off! I loaded up Whitt and Josh had Coop in his lap.....he was totally planning on driving to the ER like that! I told him that wasn't legal, and I put Coop in his car seat!!!!! ; ) By this time, Coop had stopped bleeding and he had calmed down! We got to the ER and there were 9 people ahead of us! Ugh!!! However, a nurse peeked her head around the corner and said she wanted to take a look at his head! I guess a little boy who needs staples trumps all of the other sick people out in the waiting room because our 5 hour wait turned into just a few short minutes! I didn't know they were going to take care of Coop right then, so I stayed out in the waiting room with Whitt. 20 minutes later Josh comes walking out with Coop...with 3 staples in his head! Josh said he was a total trooper....that's my boy! I'm glad I didn't have to witness it though! No momma wants to see their baby in pain! Besides that little incident, we had an awesome time at Gabby and Grumps' house! We can't wait to go back in February to meet baby Charli!

And here's Coop's first set of staples....hopefully the last....but I doubt it!

Here is some blackmail material!!! Coop asking Gabby to scratch his hiney bo!! I'm pretty sure Dee Dee started this trend! Ha! His little hiney itched one time and she playfully scratched it for him....and there ya have it! He loves his back, arms, legs, belly and face "tickled"! He's such a little love bug!

When we got home, we went straight to Dee Dee and Grandpa's house (the very next morning!!)! And Cooper pretty much had a make out session with Dee Dee! I think he knew she was feeling left out, so he made sure to make up for lost time with her! It's so sweet how he loves both sets of grandparents so much!

What a great Christmas!!!!

Happy Decade!!

Wow! Where has the time gone! 10 years ago (yesterday) I married the most amazing man I have ever met! God truly chose the perfect mate for me and I couldn't be more thankful or feel more blessed! I thought that I loved Josh with every ounce of my being the day I married him, but the truth is I fell even harder for him when he became the father of our children! Seeing him with our boys completely melts me! Cooper and Whitten couldn't ask for a father to love them any more than Josh does! They are two blessed little boys for sure! Baby, thank you so much for these last 10 years! I can't wait to see what the next 10 years hold for us and our family!

I don't have many of our early years together on this computer. So here are just a few of the past several years!

And here we are....10 years later!!
