Who is this baby?

I mean...where did my baby go? For those of you who know Coopi, you know that he has never been the best of nappers. Long ago, I told myself I wasn't going to nurse Coop to sleep because I didn't want that to be the only way he could fall asleep. Well, after months of trying to get this boy down for his naps...believe me, I tried everything...I finally gave in! And guess what...it worked like a charm. My baby was napping and I was finally able to clean the house....okay, I lied about that second part, but at least I was able to sit my butt on the couch and watch some good ole tv! I thought I had created a monster because this was now the ONLY way this child would even consider a nap. However, the last week or so he's decided that he's a big boy! He gets so excited for nap time, that when he sees his bed, he actually starts kicking his legs and giggling. He doesn't even want me to rock him (kinda makes me a little sad...I loved our rockin' time)!! Then he finds his lovee, turns on his rainforest thingy and puts his head down. Now, he usually gets up and babbles for a few minutes, but he's out before I can get the monitor on! I mean...seriously! What the heck happened to Cooper! OOOHHHH....AND he is actually taking powdered formula now!! Where has my baby gone! Here are some pics just for fun! What's a post without pictures. He just got out of the bath and I didn't brush his hair!!

9 month stats!

29.5 inches: 90-95th%.

18.4 lbs: 25th%

So basically, I'm tall and skinny...just like my dad! Mom was pretty round when she was a baby!!!

Head circumference- 16 3/4 in. - 5th%....I took after my mom on this one...she has a little nugget head and still has to wear a child's size cap. Dad kinda has a small head, too!!!

All in all, I'm super healthy and growing like a weed!!

Well, I just took a couple of snap shots for Coop's nine month pics! The first few are after he woke up from a nap and had major bed head! We go to the doc. tomorrow for a well check! I can't wait to see how much he's grown!

I'm not sure what this face is!!!
If you click on the picture of me standing up, you can see my crooked smile!!!! I love to push my jaw out to the side...don't ask me why...but it makes for a cute smile!!

Prayers for a Stranger!

So, I set this blog up to show off pictures of my sweet baby boy for my friends and family! However, if you've read my post from the other day, you know that I've been following a couple of families with sick babies. One of the families just lost their 10 month old to cancer. My heart completely aches for them, as I can not even begin to pretend to comprehend their grief. Cora was a healthy baby girl who was diagnosed in January of this year and lost her battle less than a month later. Please pray for this family. You can visit their blog to see precious pictures of Cora! I know you don't know them and neither do I, but our Jesus does and he will hear your prayers.

Obsessed

So, I have recently become a blog stalker...THANKS, KRISTI!!!! I have become engrossed in the lives of mommies that I don't even know...constantly checking their blogs to check up on their sweet babies! I have always known that I was blessed...quick conception, easy pregnancy (just a few little scares), easy delivery...and thank the Lord...a healthy baby!! I thank Jesus every night for the blessings that he has bestowed upon me...I'm so undeserving. However, reading these women's blogs makes me realize that there are truly are no words to describe just how incredibly blessed I've been. I've come across blogs of mommies that were so excited to meet their little one and ended up losing their babies during delivery, mommies that have waited forever to get pregnant and are still struggling, mommies that have had great pregnancies, but delivered a sick baby that has to stay in the NICU for months, a mommy that died after delivering a healthy baby, and mommies that have babies with cancer. The great news is that every single one of these mommies have great faith and believe in miracles. I have found myself praying for complete strangers! Every night when I'm rocking Cooper to sleep, I want to hold on for a little longer, when he crawls up to me to give me his sweet hugs...I want to hold on a little longer, when he doesn't sleep through the night...I thank God that I have a healthy baby to go to! My heart aches for these strangers...but mommies are mommies...we have this connection with one another that no one else can understand! Just remember to love on your sweet babies and PRAISE THE LORD each day that they are HEALTHY and in your arms. I can't even begin to imagine my life without Cooper!

First Plane Ride!

Cooper took his first airplane ride this past weekend to Gabby and Pa-Grumps house!! You know me...I had to document it! I have become a complete camera nerd now that Cooper is here. I'm so afraid if I don't capture every moment, I'm going to forget them...and I want to hold on to absolutely every piece of his life! I hope that doesn't mean I'm a crazy momma! Anyway, Cooper did okay considering it was WAY past his bed time. We had a few melt-down moments, but technology saved the day! Sweet baby got sick while we were in East Tx., so the ride back was not as pleasant. I think his ears were popping because he was NOT a happy camper! Poor passengers had to endure the "crying baby on a plane"! Oh well!!! I now have more sympathy for people in our situation! Yes...we were "those" people!!! Well, the fact that he had been awake for 6 hours and had completely missed his nap didn't help matters either. As you can imagine, we didn't document the trip home...we were too busy trying to appease Coop to get the camera out!
SORRY about all of the pictures! I haven't taken the time to figure out how to create a slide show!!Airport security....they had to check every bag because we had "already mixed" formula (Coop refuses to eat powdered formula...he still prefers his mommy's milk) and baby food....I had a hard time getting a picture of that because...well...it's security!!!
Coop waiting to get his dinner at the airport...he didn't want his green beans, so he had a taste of ketchup...he loved it...just like his momma!!

I love my boy! You can tell he's already starting to zone out!

Uh-oh.....we haven't even taken off yet!!!!

Yummy milk!

Still waiting to take off! Daddy's trying to keep me entertained!

Take off!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dad made me drink my milk so that my ears would be okay!

Dad, can I have your nose???

Hey, Mom! This is pretty cool!!!!
(Two seconds later)Just kidding....I'm ready to go to bed!!!
After a quick melt-down, we whipped out the dvd player....Finding Nemo was a life saver!
Well, as soon as we got the dvd player out, we had to put it up! The flight attendent tried to ignore the fact that we still had it on after they told everyone to turn on their electronic devices.... I'm sure she didn't want to hear Cooper crying either... but she finally told us we needed to turn it off. After another melt-down and Daddy's quick thinking, Cooper took solace in playing with Dad's phone! Thank goodness for technology!

We're here!!! Just waiting on Gabby and Pa-Grumps to pick us up! Cooper's eyes were just slighly glazed over!!!!

I couldn't STEAL a smile out of Cooper...he was so solemn and refused to look at me while we waited to be picked up! But as soon as Gabby and Grumps showed up....his face lit up like you wouldn't believe!!!! He was SOOOO happy to see them!!!!!

We had a little bit over an hour drive after we were picked up from the airport...Coop PASSED out!!!!!!! Just sucking on his lovee that Whitney Williams got him! He's about worn that thing out!!! What a trip!!!!!!!!!

Playing with the dogs!!
Riding with Gabby...I love the outdoors and so does my Gabby!!! She likes to take me all over the place and I LOVE it!!!

My new "funny" face! I like to try to make my nose as small as possible!!!

I love my daddy!!!!!!
