Mother's Day Tea
Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to the most wonderful mom in the world! I never knew the realness of your love for me until I became a mother myself. It is so pure, so deep, so terrifying, so rewarding, so humbling, so heartbreaking, so grueling, so true, so real. And now that I have become a mom, my love for you is so much more, so different, stronger...deeper. The bond that we share...is real, is deep, is emotional, is perfect. You are perfect. Thank you for you endless love, support, understanding and patience. I love our talks, but I also love is our silent understanding. We just get each other. You know my heart and I know yours. God definitely knew what he was doing when chose me to be your daughter....when he chose you to be my mom. I love you more now than I ever have! Happy Mother's Day to the most amazing mom in the world!
Birthday party!
Epic fail! I wish I had captured more pictures of Coop's 5th birthday...but it was just a little chaotic! Well, I don't think it would have been had Josh not lost his phone right before we were supposed leave to set up. It's obviously not a good thing when nurses call him throughout the day to verify prescriptions....and he doesn't have his phone! So we spent about 30 minutes looking for it before I had to just leave to try to set up on my own! I had people calling me 10 minutes before the party was supposed to start asking if they were at the right park! Eek! Needless to say, I was a little frazzled and unprepared.
Coop had an egg/peanut free transformer cake...and I didn't even get a picture. I am so upset about that! : ( He had lots and lots of friends show up (more than I expected....which is always a good thing!) so the whole time I was worried if we were going to have enough cake and party favors! Ha! We did!! Coop is such a blessed little boy and we really did end up have such a great time, so I wouldn't change it for the world!! This mommy did not get many pictures at all. So bummed! Sorry, buddy! I promise you had lots of friends there to celebrate you turning 5...and you had a blast!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG BOY!!!!!! I am truly having a harder time with this than I thought I would! 5 is so big! But the good thing is, you said I can still kiss you when you are 5! Thank goodness!! You had a tball game the day of your 5th birthday and you came over and gave me a kiss through the fence. You never hesitate to kiss me in front of your friends. You still ask me to kiss all over your face before bed. You love butterfly kisses, bunny kisses, chin kisses, cheek kisses, ear kisses, hair kisses......! You are the most affectionate little (big) boy I know! I guess you turning 5 made me realize that there will be a day when you don't want kisses from mommy anymore. I dread the day...so I'm holding on tight to the now! I've just been soaking you in lately. Enjoying my every second with you!
Ok..you're 5 now, so enough of the mushy stuff! You are ALL boy!!!! You love transformers and superheroes. You love collecting "treasures" and putting them in a special place. You are Mr. Social and love all of your friends. Right now, your best buddies are Preston, Brody and Price. You still love the ladies! Your favorite tv show is Peppa Pig.
You are not going to kindergarten next year. We know you are very ready and your teacher has told me that you are ready.... and I second guess myself about this decision all of the time, but we made the decision more for the future and not for the now! This just means I get one more year of no homework! One more year of living in lala land and, ultimately, one more year before you head off to college.
Cooper, you are my world! You are more than I could have ever dreamed and I love you more than you will ever understand. I am so proud of the boy you have become! Happy birthday to my precious first born baby!
