Sleepyhead!

My little Whitten is a mommy's dream! At two months old he is snoozing through the night!!!! And it's not just a fluke! He's been doing it for several weeks in a row and his mommy and daddy are truly amazed! I've heard stories from other parents about how their newborns sleep through the night, but I thought they had to be exaggerating! Welp, my baby boy has made me a believer!! Last night he had his last feeding at 10, alseep by 10:45 and didn't make a peep until 9:00 the next morning! That's a loooong time for a little guy! I use the term "little" lightly...there's not a whole lotta little about this boy! He totally melts me! Thank you sweet Whitt for being such a good sleeper!

Sweetness!

Whitt was on his play mat checking out his toys when Cooper decided that he needed some special necessities!!! He ran to his room and retrieved some of his favorite things to share with his little brother! If you only knew how precious Cooper's frog, puppy pillow and blanket were to him, this would totally melt your heart!!!!






And this just totally cracks me up! Whitt looks BIGGER than Coop! Coop was begging to hold him! Once Whitt was on his lap, Cooper told me he was being "squished"!! By the way, Whitten is already wearing 6 month pj's!! This is one big baby, I tell ya! That just means more for me to love on!



AND...Coop helping with the Christmas tree!!

Three?!

I go back and forth on whether we will have another baby! I know ultimately the decision is up to God, but that motherly instinct is still there and my desire to have another one is still so strong! One moment I feel that our family is totally complete! I have two amazing, healthy little boys who have totally surpassed my every dream of what having a child would be like! I honestly had no idea that being a parent could possibly be this wonderful! I remember holding Whitten for the first time(after 9 hours of not seeing him) thinking, "Oh my goodness, this can't be the last time I hold a newborn baby!"

I am feeling that my life is quite complete with 2 beautiful, healthy, amazing boys! So...we are 85% sure that we are d-o-n-e having kids! But I can't get rid of that lingering smell of a newborn! It's my favorite age in the whole wide world (minus the sleepless nights)! But for now!!!! This is what I did today. Just a little spring (winter cleaning)! My excuse is, if we have another baby, we will NOT be using Dr. Brown bottles...and we need a new sterilizer anyway! Right!?!?

2 months (and 1 day!!)

My little Whitt is the sweetest baby in the whole world! So what is he up to these days??

-You are wearing a size 1 diaper (but are just about to bust out)!

-I unofficially weighed you today! I can't get you in for your 2 month check up until Dec. 8. By then, you will be almost 3 months! So, I weighed myself and then weighed us together! And from my calculation, you are a whopping 12 lbs!!!! You were fully clothed, but still....you are a big boy!! Cooper was 10 lbs. at 2 months! It's safe to say, that you are a healthy little guy!!

-After about a week and a half of screaming bloody murder from about 11-1 a.m. for unknown reasons, we are pretty sure we have narrowly escaped the curse of colic. You are such a happy baby now! You only fuss when you are hungry or tired!

-You are sleeping through the night...WHAT?!?! Yes, that's right! My sweet butterball can sleep from 11-7! You don't do it every night, but we had 3 nights in a row this week! If you do wake up, you only wake up once to eat a really quick meal! I'm pretty sure it's because you have some extra "fluff" to keep you from getting too hungry in the middle of the night! However, you do make up for it because you eat about every 2 hours during the day! You go from "mommy" to the bottle (with mommy's milk) very well! You don't care where your milk comes from...as long as you get to eat!!

-You are SMILEY SMILEY SMILEY (when you're awake)!!! You love to smile and talk to Mommy and Daddy...or whoever will talk to you! Your little personality has definitely emerged this past week!

-You are trying so hard to find your thumb! You still take a paci, but when you are finished sucking, you don't want anything to do with it!

-You love to be held and snuggled, but when you're done...you're done and prefer to be put down! You are so happy in your bouncy seat....as long as you can see us! You don't like to be left alone in a room by yourself and will protest until someone comes and talks to you!

-You are still a fairly sleepy little baby! Because you have a big brother that Mommy has to tend to, we haven't really worked on a nap "schedule" yet! You sleep on and off in the car seat, swing, and bouncy seat! Because we had that terrible scare not too long ago, I have been afraid to lay you flat on your back to sleep. You were spitting up and choking any time you were on your back, so we decided to let you sleep in your bouncy seat for a few weeks! You are doing much better now, so it's time to wean you out of that and let you sleep in your crib! Yikes...but we've gotta do it! I'm going to start with naps first...and then we will start trying it out at night!


-Your big brother absolutely adores you! You are a lucky guy!!! He loves to hold you, kiss you, love on you and talk to you! When you are not in the room, he asks where you are. If you are crying, he immediately lets me know that you are hungry or mad or that you need your paci! I pray that you are good friends one day!

-I can't believe you have already been with us for 2 months! But at the same time, I can't remember life without you!

You are a whole lotta cute!!! I love you sweet baby boy!

Sweet Talk!

8 weeks!

Chub-o-la!!!!!! I love these sweet smiles! And how can you not love a double chin on a baby!?

Pumpkin Patch Failure!!!

We waited until the very last minute this year to go to the Pumpkin Patch! We've just been a little busy with the new addition in our family and October came and went in a blink of an eye! I was all set to get some cute pics, but just a few minutes in, my camera battery died! Ugh! I didn't get a single picture of my new little pumpkin with his brother....and the ones of Coop aren't that great! But hey, at least we made it out there!!
