Fun at the lake (or not!!)
Well, the title speaks for itself! We've been looking forward to a weekend at the lake for quite sometime. However, we had a sick little duck that decided this would be a good time to get croup! Yep! It all started out with a slight fever on Monday, but it was controlled with meds...really no big deal! He felt great Tuesday....and we left for the lake on Wednesday. Thursday night, he hacked all night long, but never woke up crying for us! When he woke up Friday, he was super hoarse and continue the "barking seal" cough. Josh went fishing that day while I stayed home with Coop because I knew he would need a good nap. Um...no nap for Coop! It just con't to get worse throughout the day. He would cry anytime he coughed and I could tell that he was just so miserable. I called Josh and told him he needed to come back around 5:00 so he could help me out. Friday night.....miserable! We got in the car and started heading to the ER when Josh decided it was unnecessary, and we turned around. I went to bed about 11:30 while Josh stayed up with Coop. I'm a t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e sleeper and didn't fall asleep until about 1:30. Josh woke me up at 2:30 to do a shift change. So, Coop and I were up until about 5 and I finally made him go to sleep with me on the couch! However, I didn't sleep at all considering I was hanging half-way off of the couch and I had a very sick baby that was incredibly fidgity on top of me coughing and crying. In the mean time, Josh got about 6 hours of sleep (dang...I should have taken the first shift!!). Saturday morning Josh decided to call our doctor's office and got a hold of our favorite nurse practitioner! Jennifer to the rescue!!!!!! She confirmed that it sounded just like croup and called us in some meds! Thank you so much, Jennifer...you saved us!!! Just a few hours after Coop took his meds, he was like a different kid! He slept all the way through the night on Sat.!!! YAY! We even got to go out on the boat Sunday afternoon!
Gearing up!!
A little practice fishing with Daddy!
Mr. Independent got mad because Dad wouldn't let him do it by himself!!!
And this is what the majority of the day consisted of! Nothing better than a nap on the boat!
Back to the shore! Look at that wind blown hair!!! And yes, the boat was stopped!!!

10 little fingers....
10 little toes!! And one little....well ya know!!! It's another BOY!!! We are beyond excited! All I have to say is this new little guy has some pure awesomeness to live up to! His big brother is totally amazing, and I just can't wait to meet this new little boy to see how amazing he is going to be! It's so hard to comprehend!! I have always envisioned being a mommy of two stinky little boys, and I can't wait! We're pretty sure we have a name picked out...starts with a "C" (and no....we did not intend to be matchy matchy!!) but we're trying it out first to make sure it fits and making sure we don't get it too tongue tied with Cooper! I love it and have loved it for a long time! So when we are 100% sure, we will let you know!
Here are some pics of our new little darling!
Playing with my ear!!
Profile!
Straight on face shot (kind of scary!)
Sucking on my fingers!

Boo!!!!
Well, the time has already come! Cooper no longer calls himself Pooker....no longer calls Gabby and Grumps - Baggy and Box...no longer calls coffee - fockee....no longer calls Goofy - Foogy. He's now putting all of these funny little names in the right order! It was so cute when he mixed up the first two consonants...but now he is a big boy and talks like a big boy! So sad! = (
Oh...a quick funny! Coop and Josh were watching Monsters Inc. the other day (he woke up early from his nap and was FOUL) something happened that startled him and all of the sudden he kind of jumps up a little and says "crap"! Another one! I was talking to my mom the other day on the phone in the car and I said something sucks....2 seconds later I heard a little voice says "sucks"! It's time to start watching our mouths!!!!!

Moovin' and a Groovin'!!
Well...I can now officially say that I've felt this little man (yes, i think it's a boy) MOVE!!!! He told me "hi" the other night by give me a little tap tap tap several times! I could feel him on the inside and the outside with my hand! Now I pretty much feel him any time I am horizontal! I truly thought I started feeling him at 12 weeks, but I at the end of the day I assumed maybe it was just that bubbly feeling your tummy makes when it's digesting food....in other words....gas!! But, now I know FOR SURE!!!! I was exactly 16 weeks. I felt Coop move at 14 weeks and Josh could feel him at 17. If Josh were patient enough with our new little one, he could feel him as well! Such an awesome feeling! We will find out a week from today what flavor we're having. But for me, it will be more of an "I already new that"! And of course we could absolutely care less about the sex....we are just praying for a healthy baby! This blog world gets me all crazy with anxiety because I've seen and learned so much more about different types of illnesses and diseases babies can have. Some I had never heard of until just recently. Makes me ever more grateful for Cooper's health. The fact that these little babies start out as one tiny cell and develop into healthy human beings is just beyond my comprehension. However, I'm put at ease when I remember that the Almighty One is completely in control! When I sleep at night, I often imagine God's hands physically forming my baby! What a sense of peace that brings me!
So....we will keep you posted on the news next week. In the mean time, please pray that we are blessed with a healthy progress report from within the womb!!
Here is my progress so far! These were taken at 15 weeks.....first thing in the morning. I feel MUCH bigger now. And, as soon as I eat a meal.....I look like I'm 7 months pregnant. How does that happen!?

HE LIVES!!!!
He is RISEN!!!! What a joyous day!
"He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay." Matthew 28:6
I'm excited for Cooper to fully understand the awesomeness of our Savior! I pray that he comes to know Jesus at an early age. I pray that he never doubts God's love for him and truly desires to serve Him in every possible way!
